A Banjo Makes Three- In the magical world of Old Growth Redwoods and The Legendary Bigfoot, A Banjo makes 3 was born. An upright bass, guitar, and banjo joined forces for a bluegrass band in the Humboldt music scene. After a few open jams, Doc Woglom was recruited on the mandolin. An Art Professor at Cal Poly Humboldt University and hailing from New Jersey, Doc brings a chop and lonesome vocals to make a true traditional bluegrass band. Since 2019, A Banjo Makes 3 has been working to keep traditional bluegrass alive in Humboldt County.
Compost Mountain Boys- Since 1991, the Compost Mountain Boys have been a cornerstone of Humboldt County's bluegrass scene, delivering authentic and dynamic performances that blend traditional bluegrass with their unique flair. Their music resonates with the rich cultural tapestry of the redwoods, captivating audiences with every note.
Cadillac Ranch- From country rock to 60's dance tunes, from vintage Honky-Tonk to ballads of the heart....Twanging guitars, soaring harmonies and rock solid rhythm. And as a special treat, for the Folklife set, Cadillac Ranch are bringing a 4 piece horn section to blow it all out of the water!
